What Services Do We Offer?
At The Airplane Spoon, our mission, vision, and values reflect a profound commitment to the transformative potential of family connections. Embracing a social model that focuses on strengths and differences, The Airplane Spoon encourages continuous growth and innovation, ensuring that families are equipped with purposeful tools for ongoing practice.

Our children's therapy services are designed to empower parents, support children in a positive strengths-based approach, and have fun along the way!
Feeding

We help babies/children and their parents develop positive associations with mealtime, build confidence, and look forward to eating. After all, food is meant to be enjoyed.
Groups

Communication therapy focuses on improving a child's speech, language, and social communication skills. Our experienced therapists utilize evidence-based techniques to enhance communication abilities and foster meaningful interactions.
Communication

We help children and their parents develop strong relationship-based communication skills that promote social awareness, self-advocacy, and interaction.
Parent Coaching

We offer parent coaching to empower families with effective strategies for supporting their child's developmental progress. Through personalized coaching sessions, parents gain valuable insights and practical tools to promote their child's growth and well-being.
The Airplane Spoon Model
Our mission is to impact the lives of the children, families, team members, and communities we serve by empowering them to truly connect and create meaningful relationships.

Parent Coaching Integration
Integrating parent coaching into therapy is a valuable approach that empowers parents to actively participate in their child's development. By providing parents with guidance, strategies, and resources, therapists enable them to reinforce therapeutic goals at home, creating a more supportive and consistent learning environment.
The Dual-Home Model

Our Dual-Home Model means that sessions are divided between your home and The Airplane Spoon House.
We have found this model to be extraordinarily beneficial for more targeted and generalized progress in both the child and parents.
By having sessions at The Airplane Spoon location and the home one week a month, children are able to bring their learned skills into their natural environment and home routines.

Our Trust-Based Approach
A trust-based approach to developing relationships in therapy emphasizes building a strong foundation of mutual trust, understanding, and collaboration between the child, family, and therapist. Unlike a traditional clinical model centered on compliance, which may prioritize completion of trials and not take into factor a child’s cues of readiness, a trust-based approach values the child’s autonomy and active participation in decision-making.
